AEW Dynamite and WWE NXT ratings both drop this week

AEW Dynamite on TNT and WWE NXT on the USA Network finished nearly tied in total viewers this week, and both shows were substantially down in the key demo.

Dynamite averaged 677,000 viewers, down 7.3 percent from last week. It was the third lowest viewership total for the show on TNT. In the 18-49 demo, Dynamite finished 14th on cable with a 0.23 rating, down 20.7 percent from the previous week.

Last night’s FS1 NASCAR broadcast drew 1.711 million viewers and a 0.30 rating in 18-49. It likely took viewers away from both shows.

NXT averaged 673,000 viewers, down 5.9 percent from last week. In 18-49, the show averaged a 0.16 rating, down 20 percent and a very similar drop to Dynamite. NXT was 35th on cable in that demo.

The total combined audience of 1.35 million viewers was the fifth lowest since both shows debuted on cable last October.

As usual, AEW won every ratings demo except for people over 50, where NXT had a 0.36 rating to AEW’s 0.31. AEW’s best categories were actually people over 50 and men 18-49, which averaged an identical 0.31 rating.
